Geoff Trotter 1950s My parents Harold and Irene Trotter were the Tenant Landlords of this Beautiful Pub. The Hotel stood in its own 3 and a half acres of ground.Wimborn Railway Station was only just across the road, and the cattle and horse sale markets less than 100 yards away. Canford School was within an easy walk for a Day boy!!!
Kimberley Severn 1971-1979 My Parents were the landlord and landlady of The Griffin, 1971 to 1979 - Ron & Eileen Sargeant. It was a great place to live, I spent the best years of my childhood there, with our German Shepherd Jerry and my pony, Shannon. Real shame that it was sold for building.
