The Crosshills Hotel was situated at 5 The Square. This pub closed in 2015.

I was the Landlord of the Crosshills for 3 years up til 2010, I rented the pub off a company called New Century Inns which then collapsed and became Century Inns. The pub was then sold to Greene King who in their great wisdom doubled the rent and put 20% on the price of beer I had to buy off them. We all wonder why pubs are closing, its because there is no protection at all for the hard working Tenants who are the mainstay of most British pubs. The only pubs that can make a living are the free houses or the managed houses (Brewers Fayre etc).
