The Talbot

The Talbot was situated at 9 High Street. This pub was later
known as Manhattans and then No. 9. It had ornate pillars at the front and
massive curved glass front windows leading in to the two front doors. The
cellar bar was nicknamed The Pit. There was a boxing ring in one of the
upstairs rooms and a full sized snooker table on another floor. They are
supposedly still there as they are too big to remove. |
