The Boars Head was situated at 134 High Street East. This pub has now been converted into a bistro of the same name.
My Great Grandmother Maggie O'Hare married name Bulmer was the last fish wife in the East End Sunderland. There are many newspaper articles about her and she always mentions the Boars Head. How she used to call to get a can of ale to take home with her supper.
