The Doctor Johnson was situated in Longwood Gardens. A large grade-II listed art deco pub
from 1937/1938, it closed in July 2010 and is currently boarded
up. This pub was built in the 1930s in the belief that a main road would go
past its location. This road was eventually built about half a mile to the
south, resulting in the pub being in a more cut off location than intended. |

The pub closed in 2010. Although the premises are locked and
secured it has been vandalised by squatters. |
