The Sun was situated at 128 New Street.

This pub has now been demolished and replaced by a new house.

Mary Hempstead 1984/1986 Was run by Richard and Trudy Piper who went back to Clacton on Sea Then taken over by several different Land Lords until Roy Fields run it as a pub/restaurant and closed it down and sold it!
Carolyne Archer 1974/1977 The Publicans at this time were Keith and Babs Wilkinson. I worked part-time behind the bar whilst at College.
Hazel Ruffell 1966/1970 My Parents Jack and Iris Reay were public and of the Sun, I lived there until I got married in 1968.
