use. |

Journal July 25th, 1748 |
This is to give Notice, that on Monday
the 25th of this Instant July, at Brightlingsea, there are Eleven Hats of
10s 6d Value each, to be played for at Cricket, by any two Eleven Men whose
Names shall be enter’d before One o’Clock on the said Day at the house of
John Raymont, the sign of the White Lion in Brightlingsea aforesaid. The
Wickets to be pitch’d, and begin Play, at Two o’Clock exactly. N.B. There
will be a Twelve-penny and a Six-penny Ordinary ready at One o’Clock. |
