I lived in the neighborhood, Phoenix House, 204 London
Road, Chelmsford way back in 1955-57 when the building housed Overseas
and British Apprentices under- going training in Crompton’s Shops on
Writtle Road. Naturally I spent many an evening in the premises. I am
sad it is demolished. |
