The Dagmar was situated at 29 Crouch Street and is now used as an estate agents.

My 3rd Great Grandfather was the Landlord of The Dagmar Crouch St Colchester between 1870 to 1880s. He was born in Suffolk in 1822 and served as a soldier his whole life as a Private in the 54th Regiment until he retired and became the innkeeper with his blind Irish wife who followed him throughout most of his army service.
