The Church Elm was situated at the corner of Church Elm Lane and Dagenham
Heathway. This pub dated back to 1839, closed in 2005 and demolished in
2008. The site is now occupied by housing and offices (see photo below). |

Samuel Twyford (1806- 1857) was the landlord of the Church Elm Pub between
1845 and 1855. |
