The
Fanshawe Tavern was situated on Amesbury Road. This pub was built in 1934
and was later renamed the Pipers, possibly because the Fanshawe had acquired
an unsavoury reputation. It closed in 2000 and, following demolition,
housing was built on the site. |

Would love to hear from bar staff who worked here in the 1970s. |

My mum and dad drank in there for
over 20 years, lots of story's to tell, so sad it's gone, so many fond
memories |
