The White Horse was situated at 15-19 High Street. This pub is now used as a restaurant. The White Horse originally came into being as an hostelry for pilgrims and travelers in the 13/14 century and was owned by the Priory at Little Easton , within walking distance from Great Dunmow. This building still has its existing cellars and some very old oak flooring .
