The Bird In Hand was situated at 54 Chapel Hill. This grade-II listed pub closed in 2018 and has now been converted into three flats.

Listed building details:

C17 2 storey timber framed and plastered with red plain tile roof. Altered in C19 and with modern weatherboarding. Vertical sliding sash windows and modern weather- boarding. Some original framing is visible internally and there is the base of an original chimney stack.
