The White Hart was situated at 6 George Street. The
publican in 1895 was George Mercer. |
|
Trading from c1791 and previously known as The Railway
Hotel. With stables at the rear, it was used as a hospital during the
Napoleonic war. In the early 1890s the front section was converted to the
Norfolk Dining Rooms. The pub closed in 1954 and was demolished in 1976. |
