The
Wheatsheaf closed in 1992 and is now in private residential use.
Originally a small cottage dating to c1750 and registered as a beerhouse in
1830. John Church named as occupier in 1838 Tithe Award, a shoe maker and
beerhouse keeper. Later acquired by Daniell & Sons brewery and then Trumans.
Publican in 1914 was Harriet Manning. |
