Public house. Mid C19. Render with glazed tile ground floor, roof not
visible. Double-depth plan. 2-storey; 2-window range. Ground-floor public
house front with pilaster strips to a cornice and parapet with baluster
sections over the windows. A left-hand doorway, public house front to the
right with central double doors and paired windows with shallow arched
heads, and a dark green glazed surround with consoles to a fascia and brown
moulded panels beneath the windows. 8/8-pane first-floor sashes in flush
frames, with a central blind window with a pediment. Interior: lateral
serving bar, small front room with painted timber bar-back fitting. A
complete example of a mid C19 public house facade. |
