My parents were the landlord and landlady of this pub from 1970 until 1976. The pub closed for a short while after we left. It reopened briefly then close permanently. Looking at the photos on google maps, I can see a lot of the trees around the pub have been cut down and the old skittle alley (where we used to keep the rabbits) has also been demolished. I also see quite a few houses have also been built on the land.

Stephan Lund 1952/1953 I was a guest in family Tom Powells and lived at the pub during 4 month. Mr Powell, who at that time was chairman of Cheltenham motorcycle-club met my father when they tried to introduce motorcycle- footboll in Sweden. I visited Stroud 1984 and found that it now was a private home. Stephan Lund, Ljusterö.
