The Target
Inn was situated on Bisley Road. This pub has now been converted into a
private house. |

My parents were the landlord and
landlady of this pub from 1970 until 1976. The pub closed for a short while
after we left. It reopened briefly then close permanently. Looking at the
photos on google maps, I can see a lot of the trees around the pub have been
cut down and the old skittle alley (where we used to keep the rabbits) has
also been demolished. I also see quite a few houses have also been built on
the land. |

I was a guest in family Tom Powells and lived at the pub
during 4 month. Mr Powell, who at that time was chairman of Cheltenham
motorcycle-club met my father when they tried to introduce motorcycle-
footboll in Sweden. I visited Stroud 1984 and found that it now was a
