The Wellington Inn was situated at 44 Winchester Street.

I was a customer here in the mid to late 1980's when I worked in the town. It was then run by the Sylvester family ( father Tony and son Melvyn ) and was Whitbread I think. I played cricket for them on the times they took part in an occasional match locally. It was a friendly local with basic food - more of a regular drinkers pub.
