The Prince Of Wales was situated at 65 Bishopstoke Road. This pub has now been converted into a Tesco Express store.

I last went in this pub 60 years ago with my late father. Harold and Stella (surname unkown )were the licensees. Harold was always quoting Oliver Goldsmith and Stella (lively Stella!) was at one time the chair of the local Licensed Victuallers Assoc. In earlier years Harold allowed me to fish in the River Itchen whilst I waited for my father and his colleagues to finish their beers.
