The Travellers Rest was situated at 23 Wickham Road.
Standing at the end of Archery Lane (now closed) and the Wickham Road this
Victorian building that had no visible parking arrangements. I remember
going into this place with some friends in the 70's and we were the only
customers. It was small! It still has the old Brickwood's facia.

I understand that the establishment ceased trading in the late 1970's, it
remained vacant for a number of years before being converted to
residential in the 1980's.
