Exeter. It closed c1840 when the railway reached Basingstoke. |

Major General Sir Frederick Cavendish
Ponsony, brother of Lady Caroline Lamb, died suddenly here, on January 11th
1837. H was distinguished in the Peninsular war and at Waterloo where
received several serious wounds. |
