The Admirals Head was situated at 90 Kingston Crescent. This pub is now used as a Pizza Hut.

in the 1970’s it was a local to the crew from the Royal Yacht Britannia which was moored at Whale Island when not in use, the owner was called Snowy and had an admirals jacket and officers cap he was a great old boy with white hair and must have been in his 80’s always good for a loan till payday and was always there for us, the coppers in the Police Station opposite used to come over when they needed people for ID parades and we used to get a few Bob to help out.
