The Beehive Inn was situated at 10 Milbrook Road. This pub was present in the1830s as a beerhouse, with George Evans as publican. In its early years the pub appears to be privately owned, however by 1934 it was under the ownership of Brickwood’s Brewery before being sold to Whitbread’s in 1971. It gained a full licence on 8th March 1960. Closed on 21st November 1977 it was demolished and replaced by an office block. January 1920 found the then landlord W Kimber being fined £20.00 for selling intoxicating liquor outside permitted hours.
