Bridge Inn

The Bridge Inn was situated at 28 Cracknore Road. Present by 1869 when it was owned by Scrases Star Brewery. When it first opened it was known as the Railway Bridge Inn due to it’s proximity to a foot bridge over the LSWR London to Bournemouth railway line; it was very much a local as it was down a dead end side road, not visible from any other road It closed in April 1974 and is now used as a private residence.
