The Bridge Tavern was situated on Northam Road, on the corner of Kinsway and New Road. Present by the 1830s when it was known as The Red Rover. Renamed The Bridge Tavern in the 1850s
Used as The Bridge Gallery on closure in 1982 and now converted to flats.
The Southampton to London Railway runs right behind this building and parallel to Northam Road - then through a tunnel from here under the East Park Terrace Parks and Southampton High Street.
