The Criterion was situated at 64 St Marys Road. This former Coopers / Watneys pub closed in 1966 when the publican was Ivor Jarvis. Previous publican included Johny Arnold, former Southampton and Fulham footballer and Hampshire cricketer with one test appearance. It was subsequently demolished.
