The Lord Palmerston, Palmerston Road (city centre), closed c2008-2009 and is boarded up. As the other pubs in that area have also folded, I suspect this pub will be converted to flats.

An Old Shirley Brewery pub since 1879 when it was called The Star & Garter. It was taken over by Coopers Brewery and the name changed to The Lord Palmerston. It ended its days as a Watneys Brewery pub, In 1983 it changed its name to Copperfields. It closed in the mid 2000’s and has stood empty since.
