The New Farm House was situated at 22 Mount Pleasant Road.

This pub opened in the 1870s when Silas Lush was the landlord of this new fully licensed establishment, belonging to Aldridge’s Bedford Brewery. It was transferred to Brickwood’s Brewery when they purchased Aldridge’s and later to Whitbreads in 1971 when they purchased Brickwood’s. It closed on 30th August 1980 and was for a short time a private residence, before being demolished.
