The
Rising Sun was
situated at 73a Botany Bay Road.
It was converted to two large inter-connected maisonettes.c2000.
The local area seems to have a large number of mobile homes with white
flatbed trucks outside and my memories of the pub are that it had rather
nice etched glass windows.
A local site says "The Fountain was a rough place in those days but was made
to look like a playgroup compared to the Rising Sun in Botany Bay Road ,
Sholing". It did have a bit of a reputation. |
