Vine Inn

The Vine Inn was situated at the corner of Portswood Road and Field Place. Originally called The Vine At Portswood, in the early 1900’s it was owned by Mew Langton’s Newport Brewery, before becoming the property of the Winchester Brewery in March 1910, later becoming a Marston’s House. It closed in the late 1990s and was demolished and replaced by housing.
