The Waterloo Arms was situated on Dukes Road. This Welsh Lion Brewery pub was present by 1871 when the publican wasGeorge Baker. In subsequent years it passed through the hands of Old Shirley Brewery, Complins, Fuller Smith Turner and finally Courage. It closed in 1992.
