The Red House was situated at 21 London
Street.This grade-II listed pub,
closed in 2018 after years of declining trade. Private housing had already
been built on parts of the car park and garden. An application to convert
the pub into housing was initially rejected by the council but was
overturned in 2023 after appeal, despite local opposition. |
