Cliffe Arms

The Cliffe Arms closed c2004. This pub was originally known as The Trundle Inn.

My son now lives opposite the Arms. Used to be a favourite Sunday lunchtime haunt for a group of us that took our motorbikes out on a Sunday morning. The pub had 2 dogs, a Great Dane or Irish Wolfhound, & a tiny Jack Russell. Closed in 2004, re-opened 2010, then shut again. Was also flooded at one stage. Think it was bought by someone with an eye to close the pub & develop the site for housing, & it is still an ongoing dispute.
