The Trent Tavern was situated on Cockfosters Road.

For most of its life ,the Trent Tavern landlord was Reg Putner. He was an excellent landlord,spending much of his time in the lounge bar talking to customers. His wife cooked lunchtime food,usually beef pies. The smart public bar was presided over by 2 neatly dressed barmen The Courage beer was well kept. When Reg sold his tenancy,back to the brewery, a number of managers took over, none a patch on Reg. In his early life Reg had been a semi professional cricketer .
