Queens Head

Date of photo: 2018

The Queens Head was situated on Heath Road and is now a private residence entitled 'Crossways'. Early records list a Kings Head on the same road, but it is believed the name was changed to honour Queen Victoria's ascent to the throne. The pub closed some time prior to the Second World War during which it was used as a billet for soldiers, reverting to a private residence sometime thereafter.
