Formerly the Rose and Crown Inn.
Probably C15. Timber framed pair of houses, roughcast and with plain tile
gable-ended roofs, right hand end at slightly higher level. 2 storeys.
Jettied upper floors, ground floor part weatherboarded. No 40 has half
glazed door and C19 shop window on right. 1st floor Yorkshire casement. No
42 has modern 1st floor Yorkshire casements. Interior has exposed wall
framing and blocked window with diamond mullions in western party wall.
Timber window stair to side of later central stack and later stack to rear
wall. |
