building details: |
Public House. C17 or earlier timber
frame. Said to be c.1520 origin. Late C19 or early C20 brick casing,
painted. Plain tile steep pitched roof with C17 red brick stack of 4 joined
square shafts behind ridge in centre. 2 storeys and attics. Segmental-
headed sashes. Narrow single casements on 1st floor, left and right centre.
Gabled porch. C19/20 weatherboarded slate-roof outbuilding on front left.
Interior has broad inglenook fireplace with recesses in brickwork. |
