The Black Swan was situated at 43 High Street. This grade-II listed pub was present by 1881 when the publican was Thomas Chattell. It was renamed The Racehorse in 1984 and closed in 2018.

Mid C19 2-storey, double fronted public house. Low pitched slate roof with end stacks. Painted brick. Three first floor hung sash windows. Two venetian style hung sash windows with glazing bars flank central panelled door. Included for group value.
