The Red Cow was situated on Cross Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in 1989 and is now in residential use.
Listed building details:
Cl7 timber-framed inn with lobby entry and 3 unit plan. One storey and attic. Steeply pitched thatched roof, end stack to east and ridge stack. Timber frame partly exposed, and plastered, some painted brick infill. One small dormer window with horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. Two larger horizontal sliding sash windows flank doorway with one modern casement to east. Interior has stop- chamfered ceiling beams.
