The Crown

The Crown was situated on Stonely Road. This grade-II listed pub is now in residential use.
 
Listed building details:
C16 timber framed and plastered cottage with original open hall plan and late C17 or early C18 brick stack replacing original timber framed chimney. Two unit plan, with single storey extension, possibly a service wing, now linking a C17 single storey timber framed extension to the west with the building. Thatched roofs. Central ridge stack rebuilt in C20 and C20 stack to west. Two casement dormer windows and six ground floor casement windows with glazing bars. Boarded door. Interior has C17 inserted hall floor with stop-chamfered ceiling beams and carved wooden corbels. Two restored inglenook hearths.
