Kisby's Hut was situated on Ermine
Street North. This was an 18th century coaching stop. It was rebuilt after a
fire in 1913 and closed in 2006. It was converted to an Indian restaurant
and subsequently demolished. |
|
Kisby's Hut was founded in
around 1770, possibly called "The Horseshoe" at some point in its history,
went back to being "Kisby's Hut" in the early 1900s. |

My grandfather used to drink in this pub in the
1920s and 1930s and would sadly no longer recognise it. |
