This was the first pub that I ever entered for an alcoholic drink, one lunchtime in the spring of 1974. It was a pleasant place, with plenty of room., and agreeably subdued lighting. FTR strictly speaking this pub was not in Bromley, but in Plaistow. It was a rather nice place to go on a first date, as opposed to the more family oriented "Crown" half a mile up the road in Sundridge. Although the last time that I drank in The Teasel must have been around 1980, a lump still comes to my throat when I pass the site. Today, like most former pub sites, it is apartments.
