The White Swan was situated at 341 High Street. Run for many years by Ethels and Wickhams families, the licence was transferred to a new White Swan on Haigh Road in the 1930s. The pub was demolished and the site used by the White Swan Garage which was also owned by the landlord, Jack Mudge.
