The Britannia
|
|
|
|
The Britannia was situated on Pier Road, opposite what was Gillingham
gasworks.
This was demolished during road
widening works in the late 1960's. Not to be confused with the existing pub
of the same name in Gillingham High
Street. |

My parents owned this pub between 1960-1964 when it was
closed down due to new houses being built and road widening. They were
Charles and Patricia Spicer and had 5 children. The eldest two went to
forge lane school |
