The Plough was situated on Britton Street. This pub closed in the 1990s and has now been demolished.

Richard Martin 1978/1986 Customer, played darts terribly, crib rubbish and had my stag night there 1981. Yes still married. Old ship mate Errol Flynn worked as staff. In those days Lock-ins where the best thing in the world. Just curious are there people out there who can remember those days.
Chris Flood 1970/1980 Customer, under age when i started drinking here with my Dad George "Eric" Flood. Played Crib and Eucher with Les Whittingham and "Darkey Dave. Eucher was a religion to Les who like me lived in the Massionetts just up from the Pub. Pub Landlord early 70's was a Scotsman called Alex
