The Mile Bush Inn was situated on Maidstone
Road. This pub is now in residential use. |

During the late 80's up to about 1995 this used to be a regular Sunday run
for a lot of us on motorbikes. Mainly young modern guys with sensible
haircuts and sports bikes and girlfriends on the back. The Yamaha FZR1000
era. The pub sits on the bend of a very fast country road. Get the braking
wrong from high speed and you could end up in the bar a lot sooner than you
anticipated!
It had a very pleasant welcoming atmosphere. Most of us lived around the
Maidstone area. Some of us were associated with Magnum Motorcycles in
Gillingham Kent. Now also gone. |

I have found a full bottle of ale, brewed
by Shepherd Neame, and bearing the name of this pub, along with the
label saying 'Chateau Boagey 1987, 100% proof that you have visited the
Mile Bush' I wondered what the story behind it might be? |
