My dad ran this pub it was so rough the customers stole
the clock from behind the bar so they could argue it wasn’t closing
time. The sofas got stolen in lounge bar, sky lark in the public bar was
broke into money cigarette machine raided. customers refused to leave
one night forced him to have a lock in. He pressed the hidden panic
button to police but it didn’t work. He thought they were gonna kill
him. It’s no wonder it was closed. |

I was a regular customer and a
member of the darts team there. Also worked as a barman there on many
occasions. Worked for Don & Ede when they can the pub and Jim & Brodie
when they had it. |
