The Beehive was situated at Modest Corner and is now used as a private dwelling.

I have fond memories of this pub. In the late 1960’s I passed the end of the road it was situated in daily on my way to work in Tonbridge. My wife, then my girlfriend, would go for a drink sometimes in the evenings. As well as beer the pub sold Bob Luck Kentish cider and that’s what we used to drink. I also visited the pub with my local for darts matches. I remember an unusual inclusion to the refreshments, well salted roast potatoes, they were wonderful.

R.Hawkins 1982-1984 Great pub.
A.Griffith 1947  I lived next door, and aged 5 or 6 would go in and have a game of shove-halfpenny and half of bitter. Couldn't be done now-a-days.
L Saunders 1971-1972 Happy Hippy Haze! Ahh fond memorie
Richard Perou 1970s When I first used it the licencee was Mr Rabbit, the beer was racked up behind the bar.
The surrounding area was strange, one could imagine oneself at a lonely country pub in deepest Devon. The road that led to it was a dead-end. In fact you had to know where it was.
Bob Kay 1959-1962 I worked locally at the time and spent many happy hours in The Beehive. The Rabbits were excellent hosts - there was always a very friendly atmosphere there and good beer. I was friendly with a local couple but am ashamed to say I can't recall their names. He had a bakers shop in the village, baking his own bread. Happy days!
