The Gallopers was situated at 14 High Street. This pub has now been demolished and replaced by a McDonalds restaurant.  It was previously called The Railway Arms.

Name Dates Comments Eddie McGettigan 1969/1976 My grandfather kept this pub during the war and I was born in the bedroom above the main door. My grandfather was A.G.Ashby and previously he had kept the Perseverance Pub in Long Melford where I believe he brewed his own ales.
