The Ewe & Lamb Inn was situated on Stocks Road and is now in residential use.

My parents, Victor and Lilian Wood were licensees of the Ewe and Lamb from 1954-1968. My mother also ran the hotel side, with many people returning year after year to stay there. I also lived there until my marriage. I would ride my lambretta daily to Appledore station to commute to work.
